How to Prepare
In preparation for your vasectomy, we ask that you follow these instructions:
- Discontinue any aspirin or aspirin containing products for 1 week prior to your vasectomy.
- Thoroughly wash the scrotum on the night before and day of your procedure.
- Shave the front of the scrotum on the morning of your vasectomy.
- Bring a pair of tight fitting underwear (briefs or an athletic supporter) to use after the procedure.
- Prepare two ice packs at home for use after the vasectomy. Bags of frozen peas work well.
- Have a light breakfast or lunch prior to your procedure.
- Bring your favorite music on your iPhone, smartphone, or MP3 player.
- Relax. The procedure will be much easier than you are expecting.
